So, my brother Eric is all of a sudden completely into woodworking! He’s got an impressive workplace and ditto enthousiasm!
His first project was a soundproof box for the vacuum cleaner… Very practical, until he realized it could be a little unnecessary…

Ruud
July 14th, 2011I wish my manager Ruud a very happy early retirement!
The first drawing was given as a gift at his retirement party at the office today. It is Ruud and his wife Marjan in their own backyard. Don’t ask me why they’re in the pond! Somehow, they just ended up in there…
I made the second drawing as a price for the “Who knows Ruud best” quiz at the barbeque later that night, however the winner of the quiz gave the drawing to Ruud’s wife! Now they’re stuck with two of my drawings… 
Also, we made a mini-movie about the adventures of Ruud as “Fred van HetNet”, see RuudHoekstra.nl (Dutch).

First off, congratulations to my niece Ella-Milou for completing her internship at Musicmaker. She wrote some great articles for the magazine and on this blog.
I made this drawing for her, to give to her mentor Patrick. Yes, that’s the Musicmaker logo I put on his guitar… and yes, that’s a reference to a dutch commercial on his t-shirt… apparently Patrick can’t stop singing that catchy tune…
